Amman, Jan 7 (Petra) – Eleven Jordanian pilgrims were injured Wednesday morning when their bus crashed on its way to holy sites in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs said.
The vehicle was carrying 34 people on a journey to perform the Omra (minor pilgrimage) when the accident occurred near Sakaka in northwestern Saudi Arabia, it said.
Two of the passengers were moderately hurt and the rest were in good condition, it said, adding that the transport company sent another bus to the site to take the pilgrims to their destination.
