Amman, January 20 (Petra) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Tuesday received Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Mohamed Ali Nafti to discuss ties and on regional developments.
Safadi and Nafti discussed ways to bolster cooperation in trade, investment, education and tourism. They agreed on practical steps and the formation of joint working groups to follow up on mechanisms for developing and expanding cooperation in these areas.
The top diplomats signed a memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and the International Diplomatic Academy in Tunisia.
The discussions covered regional and international developments, particularly the situation in occupied Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as well as efforts to achieve security, stability and a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
They agreed to follow up on the outcomes of joint working groups and address issues of mutual interest.
