Khartoum, Jan. 22, 2026 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received on Thursday a pledge and covenant document from the Ansar entity, reaffirming its support for the Armed Forces in the War of Dignity.The meeting took place at Al-Burhan’s office, where a delegation from the Ansar entity, led by Ahmed Al-Mahdi, handed over the document. In a press statement, Al-Mahdi expressed his happiness at returning to the homeland after a prolonged absence due to the war. He noted that the meeting also served to congratulate the Armed Forces leadership on the victories achieved in the Battle of Dignity and their pivotal role in facilitating the return of citizens to their homes following the expulsion of rebels.Al-Mahdi underscored that Sudan would remain resilient against conspiracies targeting its security and stability, reaffirming the Ansar entity’s commitment to stand alongside the Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and unity.FA/BH
