Mafraq, Jan. 25 (Petra) – The Mafraq Greater Municipality on Sunday began installing 11 specialized cameras on its vehicles and equipment to monitor and track violations against the environment.
The municipality said in a statement that this measure is part of the executive program of the cleanliness strategy aimed at reducing the random dumping of waste, promoting environmental behavior and social responsibility, and aligning with the directives of the Ministries of Local Administration and Environment, as well as implementing the economic modernization vision to strengthen and enhance monitoring and oversight efficiency.
It explained that the cameras will document any environmental violations committed by its vehicles, ensuring that regulations and laws are applied fairly and transparently, while contributing to fostering a culture of compliance and discipline and maintaining a clean environment.
