Khartoum, Jan. 28, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Culture, Information, Tourism, and Antiquities Khalid Al-Eisir on Wednesday accompanied Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Xu Jian on the first diplomatic tour by a foreign diplomat through central Khartoum, highlighting the normalization of life and the return of daily activity.The tour included key sites such as the Central Market, Jackson Bus Station, Friendship Hall, Omdurman Market, and Martyrs’ Square, where Xu Jian observed commercial activity and community interactions reflecting the gradual return of stability.Earlier, Xu Jian met with Minister Al-Eisir to discuss enhancing cultural, media, and tourism cooperation, the tracking and restoration of antiquities, and the exchange of expertise to strengthen bilateral relations.Minister Al-Eisir described the tour as sending a positive message to the international community about Khartoum’s recovery.
