SalamAir Celebrates 9 Years of
Strategic Growth
Muscat, 2 Feb 2026 (ONA) — SalamAir
celebrated the ninth anniversary of its establishment and its active and
strategic contribution to the development of the aviation sector in the
Sultanate of Oman.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Khanjari,
Chairman of the Board of Directors of SalamAir, stated that over the past nine
years, the company, through a disciplined strategy and a clear vision, has
succeeded in contributing to building a resilient and competitive airline.
He clarified that achieving an
Omanization rate exceeding 57% reflects the company’s firm commitment to
developing national competencies and supporting the long-term priorities of the
Sultanate of Oman. With a fleet of 15 aircraft and plans to increase the fleet
size to 30 aircraft by 2030, alongside an extensive network of destinations,
this enhances air connectivity, stimulates economic opportunities, and
contributes to achieving the objectives of “Oman Vision 2040.”
He added that through continuous
expansion of the fleet and destination network, and investment in human
capital, SalamAir continues to solidify its role as the economic carrier of the
Sultanate of Oman and supports the broader aviation ecosystem and national
economy.
He noted that the ninth
anniversary represents more than just celebrating achievements; it reaffirms
SalamAir’s commitment to a sustainable and responsible growth path, reflecting
confidence in what lies ahead.
