Abu Haraz, 6-2-2026 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited Abu Haraz area in Al-Gezira State on Friday. He was received by Sheikh Abdel Rahman Sheikh Al-Naji, successor of Sheikh Dafallah Aal-Masouban.General Al-Burhan stated that Abu Haraz has always been a place of solidarity, compassion, and knowledge. He praised the role of Al-Gadiriya sect in spreading religious and Sufi teachings in the community, highlighting Sheikh Abdel Rahman Sheikh Al-Naji’s steadfast support for his people throughout the war.The TSC President emphasized the importance of national unity and cohesion for the people of Al-Gezira so that the state may return to its former prosperity and its development projects resume their original course. He noted that Al-Gezira Scheme has historically been the primary contributor to the national treasury and affirmed the state’s commitment to supporting farmers and empowering them through all available means to boost production.His Excellency reiterated that the state does not reject peace or ceasefire initiatives, but stressed that the enemy must not use such measures as a pretext to re-enter the conflict.He added that the Sudanese people will not tolerate rebel militias or their collaborators, urging armed individuals who have been misled to heed reason and respond to the call of the nation in pursuit of peace, security, and stability in the country.BH/BH
