NBO Launches Training Programme to Supply
its Branches with Professionals
Muscat, 10 Feb 2026 (ONA) — Acting
in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) today
launched a comprehensive training programme aimed to train national cadres from
jobseekers holding post-secondary diplomas (university diplomas) and provide
them with employment.
The launch ceremony was held under
the auspices of Said Abdullah al Balushi, Under-Secretary of
the Ministry of Labour for Human
Resources Development.
The two-year programme seeks
to accommodate 60 jobseekers. It combines theoretical training and practical
application of skills, and it applies to the branches of the NBO in different
governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. After the internship, the trainees will
be appointed as bank writers.
The programme includes integrated
training content that focuses on developing banking and functional skills,
raising the efficiency of trainees and empowering them to work in a
professional banking environment.
The programme, which stems from ongoing partnership between the NBO and the Ministry of Labour, lends support to employment
and training pathways in a manner that professionally enhances the engagement of
national talents in the operations of the financial and banking sectors.
