Board Awards Over RO 32m Worth of Contracts, Additional Works

Muscat,
19 Feb 2026 (ONA) — The Tender Board, in its first meeting of 2026, awarded
several tenders and additional works for developmental projects across various
sectors with a total value of RO 32,597,355.

The
meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri,
Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board.

The
works approved for award and adoption during the meeting include a project to
construct two flood protection dams on Wadi Al Ansab in Muscat Governorate,
valued at RO 9,750,000, and the supply of peritoneal dialysis requirements for RO
8,390,285.

The
Board also approved the provision of consultancy services for the design of
Phase 3 of the stadium within the Integrated Sports City for RO 4,650,000, as
well as the replacement of air conditioning units at the Ministry of
Finance—part of the rehabilitation and maintenance works for the Ministry of
Finance building—for RO 3,268,530.

Furthermore,
additional works were approved for the construction of a tunnel at the
intersection of Ittin Road and 18th of November Street in Salalah
for RO 3,203,151, along with a project to cut the Rakhyut-Dhalkut coastal dirt
road in Dhofar Governorate for RO 700,000.

Other
approvals included the upgrade of IT infrastructure at the headquarters of the
Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority for RO 418,950, and the purchase
of broadcasting rights for the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, to be held in the State of
Qatar, for RO 192,249.

The
Board also approved a practice for providing incentives and promotional offers
to employees of government units for RO 176,400, in addition to supplementary
works for asphalt road maintenance in Tawi Atair, Wadi Rakh, and Jibjat in
Dhofar Governorate for RO 538,621.

Moreover,
the Board approved additional works for the tender related to the collection
and transport of general waste for the Office of the Governor of North Al
Batinah for RO 520,000. It also greenlit additional consultancy services for
the Oman Botanic Garden project for RO 494,729, and consultancy services for
supervising the design of several road projects valued at RO 294,440.
