Kyiv, February 22 (QNA) – The Ukrainian army announced Sunday that the number of Russian military personnel killed and wounded since the outset of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on Feb. 24, 2022, has risen to almost 1,259,780 troops, including 890 who were killed or wounded over the past 24 hours.
Since the start of the war, Ukrainian troops have taken down 11,694 Russian tanks, 24,069 armored combat vehicles, 37,470 artillery systems, as well as 1,652 multiple rocket launcher systems and 1,303 air defense systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a statement published on its Facebook account.
The statement added that the Ukrainian military also destroyed 435 Russian fighter jets, 348 helicopters, 142,113 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 4,314 cruise missiles, 29 warships, two submarines, 79,500 vehicles and fuel tankers, as well as 4,073 units of special equipment. (QNA)
