Amman, Feb. 28 (Petra) – His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a phone call with Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Saturday, called for stepping up international efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
During the call, His Majesty condemned the attack on Jordanian territory, stressing that the Kingdom will continue to take all necessary steps to preserve the safety of its citizens and protect its security and sovereignty.
His Majesty emphasised the need to utilise dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve tensions and end escalations.
For his part, the German chancellor expressed Germany’s full solidarity with Jordan and its readiness to provide any needed support.
