Amman, March 1 (Petra)-His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Sunday a phone call from United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, during which they discussed ways to reach comprehensive calm in the region.
His Majesty condemned the attacks on Jordan and a number of Arab countries, warning of the repercussions of these attacks on the security and stability of the region.
The King emphasised that current regional developments require effective action by the international community to de-escalate tensions.
For his part, Prime Minister Starmer condemned Iran’s attacks on Jordan and other Arab countries that are partners of the United Kingdom in the region, expressing the UK’s support and solidarity with Jordan and these countries.
