Amman, March 1 (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II, during a phone call with Norway Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St?re on Sunday, discussed ways to achieve comprehensive de-escalation to defuse tensions in the region.
His Majesty condemned Iran’s attacks on Jordan and a number of countries in the region, which constitute a violation of international law.
The King reaffirmed that Jordan is taking all necessary measures to protect the safety of its citizens and preserve its security and sovereignty.
For his part, the Norwegian prime minister warned of the dangers of escalation in the Middle East, emphasising the importance of utilising dialogue to resolve the conflict.
