Agreement Signed to Establish integrated tourism complex “Telal Al Qurum”
Muscat, 2 Mar
(ONA) — The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today signed an agreement with
Sorouh Al Qurum Real Estate Company to establish an integrated tourism complex
project in Al Qurum area in the Wilayat of Bausher, Governorate of Muscat. The
project, which covers an approximate area of 165,000 square metres, will be carried out at a cost of RO 230
million.
The project will be implemented in phases extending over 15 years. The agreement provides for the construction of two 4-star hotels with a capacity of more than
400 hotel units. The project comprises integrated recreational facilities that include
an indoor games hall, trampoline facilities and commercial outlets and residential
units available for freehold ownership, among other facilities.
The agreement was signed by Sayyid
Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, and Eng. Khaled Khudair Mashaan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Argan International
Real Estate Company—acting as an authorized signatory on behalf of Sorouh Al
Qurum Real Estate Company.
The agreement affirms the keenness
of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to develop the infrastructure of the
tourism sector in a manner that enhances its contribution to the national
economy. It also reflects the Ministry’s commitment to support local content
and generate sustainable employment opportunities.
