Amman, March 2 (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani on Monday, during which they called for stepping up international efforts to reach comprehensive calm in the region.
His Majesty underscored that Iran’s continued attacks on a number of countries in the region threaten to escalate the conflict, emphasising the need to use diplomacy to resolve tensions.
For his part, the Mauritanian president expressed his country’s condemnation of these attacks, affirming Mauritania’s solidarity with the Kingdom and Arab countries in the measures they are taking to protect their security and stability.
