Amman, March 4 (Petra) — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday met with Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Fathi Jaghbir as part of a series of consultations to review plans and measures aimed at sustaining strategic stockpiles and supply chains amid current regional conditions.
During the meeting, the two sides underscored the role of the national industrial sector in strengthening food security. Hassan reaffirmed the government’s support for the domestic industry and efforts to enhance its contribution to the national economy.
For his part, Jaghbir stressed the Jordanian industrial sector’s commitment not to raise prices and to continue supplying goods and commodities to markets at current rates. He also confirmed that factories are operating at full capacity and under normal conditions to meet citizens’ needs.
