Khartoum, March 4, 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Kamil Idris reaffirmed his support for the programs and activities of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO), praising its vital role in protecting and supporting the national economy.During a meeting with SSMO Director-General Rahba Saeed Abdullah, he was briefed on recent achievements and upcoming initiatives, including the opening and equipping of the Organization’s branch at the Ashkeit border crossing in Old Halfa to facilitate trade with Egypt.The meeting also discussed arrangements for the SSMO leadership to resume operations from the capital, Khartoum.BH/BH
