Manama, March 06 (QNA) – Bahrain announced today the holding of extraordinary consultations with members of the defense working group of the Comprehensive Security and Prosperity Integration Agreement (C-SIPA), which includes the United States and the United Kingdom.
According to a statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency, the consultations included National Security Advisor and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council of Bahrain,آ Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa; Commander of the US Central Command Admiral Brad Cooper; and Chief of Defence Staff of the United Kingdom, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton.
The meeting reviewed the current security landscape in the region, particularly the Iranian aggression aimed at undermining the security and stability of Bahrain and neighboring countries.
The participants reaffirmed the strength of the partnership and cooperation among member states and emphasized their shared commitment to collectively addressing challenges threatening regional security and stability.
The defense working group highlighted the strategic partnership under C-SIPA, which enshrines a set of joint commitments to enhance security cooperation and collective deterrence against external threats.
The partners reiterated their commitment to continue working jointly to confront any external aggression that threatens the sovereignty or territorial integrity of any member, reflecting the deep ties among the countries and their aligned vision on security measures that safeguard peace and stability in the region.
