Abu Dhabi, March 06 (QNA) – The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems detected and destroyed 9 ballistic missiles and intercepted 109 out of 112 drones launched Friday, with three drones falling inside the country’s territory.
Since the start of the Iranian attacks, 205 ballistic missiles have been detected, of which 190 were destroyed, 13 fell into the sea, and 2 landed on UAE soil. Meanwhile, 1,184 Iranian drones were tracked, with 1,110 intercepted and 74 crashing within the country. Additionally, 8 cruise missiles were detected and destroyed.
The attacks resulted in 3 fatalities from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, and 112 minor injuries among UAE nationals and other residents.
The ministry emphasized its readiness to respond to any threats and protect the nation’s sovereignty, security, and stability. (QNA)
