Khartoum, March 6, 2026 (SUNA) – The Cabinet, during its meeting on Friday afternoon chaired by Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris, approved the agenda of Cabinet sessions as well as the Government of Hope Plan for 2026.The plan was presented by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Limia Abdel-Ghaffar, who explained that the 2026 plan represents the foundational year for the government’s five-year strategy for the period 2026–2030.The Cabinet directed ministries to clearly define their projects, programs, and activities in a manner that is practical and implementable, ensuring alignment with the priorities of the Government of Hope. These priorities include supporting the war effort, facilitating voluntary return, improving people’s livelihoods, and ensuring the provision of essential services.The Council further stressed the need to focus on projects and programs that enhance revenues and the public treasury, while contributing to the consolidation of peace and stability in the country.It also instructed ministries to prioritize the establishment of strategic international and regional partnerships.BH/BH
