Amman, March 10 (Petra) – His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Germany President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Tuesday, during which they discussed current developments in the region and ways to de-escalate tensions.
His Majesty emphasised the need for all parties to respect the sovereignty of states and to utilise dialogue and diplomacy to resolve crises, reasserting that Jordan will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its security, sovereignty, and ensure the safety of its citizens.
The King warned of the dangers of attempts to exploit the ongoing conflict in the region to create new facts on the ground in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.
