Abu Dhabi, March 11 (QNA) – HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed the escalating security situation in the Middle East in a phone call with Ireland’s prime minister Micheal Martin.

According to official reports on Wednesday, the two leaders reviewed recent military and security developments in the region and the potentially serious consequences for regional and global stability.

During the call, Martin condemned what he described as Iran’s “blatant attacks” on the territory of the UAE and other countries in the region, as well as violations related to the protection of diplomatic and consular missions.

He said such actions represented a breach of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. The Irish prime minister also expressed solidarity with the UAE and affirmed Ireland’s support for measures taken by the country to safeguard its sovereignty, stability and security.

Both leaders stressed the need for an immediate halt to military escalation and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to prevent further threats to regional and international peace. (QNA)
