Amman, March 24 (QNA) – Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, discussed de-escalation efforts in the Middle East and the pursuit of diplomacy as an exit ramp to restore security and stability in the region.
This came during telephone conversations with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, and his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot.
They stressed the importance of halting Iranian attacks on countries in the region and pushing Iran to respect international law and the sovereignty of nations, and to refrain from meddling in their affairs, in order to ensure a secure and stable future in the region.
The ministers reaffirmed their condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Gulf, Arab, and other neighboring countries.
They also underscored the need not to give primacy to ending the war with Iran at the expense of efforts to halt the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the unlawful Israeli measures in the West Bank, which undermine all prospects for achieving a just peace.
In addition, the ministers addressed developments in Lebanon and the need to halt Israeli aggression against Lebanon, as well as to support Lebanon’s security, stability, and sovereignty over all its territories. (QNA)
