Doha, March 25 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
At the beginning of the call, HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister of Pakistan exchanged greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
HE the Pakistani Prime Minister also expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to HH the Amir over the martyrs of the Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crash in the country’s territorial waters.
HE the Prime Minister of Pakistan reiterated his country’s solidarity with Qatar, expressing his condemnation of the Iranian aggression against the State of Qatar and several other countries in the region.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to HE the Prime Minister for his sincere sentiments and his country’s supportive stance.
Both sides stressed the importance of de-escalation and a halt to military operations in the region, affirming the necessity of prioritizing diplomatic solutions.
In this regard, HH the Amir praised the role played by Pakistan in supporting efforts to reduce escalation and reach a peaceful settlement that leads to peace, security and stability. (QNA)
