Port Sudan, March 28, 2026 (SUNA) – Governor of the Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi, praised the pioneering role of women in the battle for liberation and resilience in Kabkabiya, Dar Misra, Kulbus, and Jebel Moon in the Darfur region.In a post on his Facebook page, he said that women stand steadfast, providing food and support, and backing fighters on the western axis defending land and honor.Minnawi described Darfuri women as a vibrant revolutionary force confronting aggression and safeguarding identity and culture from attempts at erasure and looting. He saluted the women of Darfur as symbols of will and resilience, affirming that they are essential partners in the battle for survival and victory.BH/BH
