Cairo, March 31 (QNA) – The General Secretariat of the Arab League revealed on Tuesday that it will convene an extraordinary session of the Council at the level of Permanent Representatives on Thursday to discuss Israel’s incessant escalation in occupied Jerusalem.
The gathering will also examine the Knesset’s endorsement of a motion legalizing the execution of prisoners.
The State of Palestine called for the session to explore avenues for confronting Israeli crimes and abuses in occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctums, said Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Hossam Zaki.
Zaki added that the session will also declare this Israeli bill racist and null.
Notably, regional and international organizations have so far censured the bill as a gross violation of all prisoner laws and conventions and have called for its immediate cessation. (QNA)
