US Stocks Rebound Sharply as Oil Prices Ease

New York, March 31 (Petra) — Major US stock indices rose significantly on Tuesday after experiencing sharp declines and volatility in recent days.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1,125 points to 46,341 points, marking a gain of 2.73 percent.
The Nasdaq index, which is heavily weighted toward technology stocks, rose 796 points to 21,590 points, up 3.83 percent.

The S&P 500 index also gained about 184 points to reach 6,528 points, a rise of 2.91 percent.

Meanwhile, US crude oil, West Texas Intermediate, fell by around $3 but remained elevated at $101.76 per barrel.
