Port Sudan, March 31, 2026 (SUNA) — Member of Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir directed the Prime Minister’s Office, along with the Ministries of Energy and Finance and all relevant entities, to undertake immediate measures to address the electricity crisis in Red Sea State ahead of the summer season.The directive followed her meeting on Tuesday at her office with the Red Sea Electricity Support Committee and the “Kalaneib” Electricity Support Committee. The meeting underscored the importance of coordinated action and the mobilization of all available resources to ensure a swift and effective response.Dr. Nuwara stressed the need for practical and sustainable solutions to secure a stable electricity supply and prevent further deterioration during the upcoming summer period, in a manner that alleviates citizens’ suffering and sustains essential services.BH/BH
