Doha, April 03 (QNA) – Al Arabi completed a season double against Al Shahania scoring a 2-0 win in Week 20 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Friday.
It was a superb on-the-run strike from Pablo Sarabia in the 75th minute that broke the deadlock in the game which was till then contested tightly by either side.
Sarabia was assisted with a cross from the right by Abdullah Marafee. Al Shahania’s Yousuf Al Raeesi tried to cut off the aerial cross but in vain.
The lead was doubled in dying seconds of stoppage time (90+10 minute) by Karl Toko-Ekambi as he deflected in a cross from Jordan Veretout, who weaved his way through the defenses.
Al Shahania had pushed hard throughout the match, but failed to find a finish on some good chances.
With three valuable points gained, Al Arabi’s tally moved up to 31 points, while Al Shahania remained on 17 points and in 12th place in the standings. (QNA)
