Washington, April 05 (QNA) – Microsoft AI (MAI), the artificial intelligence research arm of the American technology and software giant Microsoft, announced the launch of three foundational AI models capable of generating text, audio, and images.
Technology news website TechCrunch said that the release of these models indicates that Microsoft is continuing to develop its own suite of multimedia AI models and compete with other AI labs, despite its association with OpenAI, the developer of the AI chat platform ChatGPT.
The MAI-Transcribe-1 model converts speech to text in 25 different languages and is 2.5 times faster than Microsoft’s similar Azure Accelerate service.
According to a press release from the company, the MAI-Voice-1 model generates audio, allowing users to generate 60 seconds of sound in one second and create custom audio. On the other hand, the MAI-Image-2 model generates videos using simple text commands. (QNA)
