Gaza, April 8 (Petra) — A Palestinian journalist was killed and a civilian injured on Wednesday evening when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in Gaza City, according to local sources.
The strike occurred on Al-Rashid Street in the Sheikh Ajlin area, west of Gaza City. Palestinian medical and media sources identified the victim as Mohammad Weshah, an Al Jazeera Mubasher journalist reporting on the ongoing conflict.
The death of Weshah brings the total number of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza to 262 since the Israeli war against Gaza in 2023, according to figures released by Palestinian authorities.
