Khartoum, April 8, 2026 (SUNA) – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Awad Salam, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Animal Resources and other stakeholders to support Sudan’s economic recovery. Participating in the workshop on reducing wastage of sacrificial hides, organized by the ministry in cooperation with the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on Thursday, Salam stated that the country is now facing an “economic war,” underscoring the need to optimally utilize available resources and avoid waste, particularly of strategic sectors such as hides and skins. He stressed the importance of unified coordination among ministries and government institutions to develop a shared vision for Sudan’s economic advancement, in line with the comprehensive strategy adopted by the “Government of Hope” led by Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris.BH/BH
