Minister of Human Resources: Supporting Women Survivors Is Key to Social Peace

Port Sudan, April 9, 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare Mua’tasim Ahmed Salih affirmed that supporting women survivors is not only a humanitarian duty but a genuine investment in building social peace and restoring community resilience.  Speaking at the “Sudanese Women Survivors Forum” organized by the Meram Charity Organization, the Minister said Sudanese women have demonstrated remarkable resilience under exceptional wartime conditions. He stressed that women were not merely victims but key pillars of social stability despite displacement, loss, and economic hardship. He added that empowering women requires more than aid—it demands capacity-building, economic independence, and active participation in reconstruction.BH/BH
