Madaba, April 12 (Petra) — Governor of Madaba, Hassan Jbour, emphasized on Sunday that Easter serves as a profound symbol of love and peace, reflecting the values of coexistence and national unity among Jordanians.
During a visit to the Holy Church of the Dormition to extend holiday greetings, Jbour was accompanied by the deputy governor, members of the security council, and the head of the Madaba Governorate Council. He underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between all faiths and components of society to ensure lasting security and social peace.
Religious leaders and attendees expressed their appreciation for the visit, noting that it embodies the depth of social ties and the spirit of national fraternity in Jordan. They shared prayers for the continued prosperity and peace of the kingdom, describing it as a global model for religious harmony under the Hashemite leadership.
The visit comes as Jordan’s Christian communities, following the Eastern calendar, celebrate Easter Sunday with prayers for regional stability and national well-being.
