Amman, April 14 (Petra) — Total trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD17.9 million on Tuesday, as 5.1 million shares changed hands in 4,549 transactions.
The ASE’s general share price index rose to 3,723 points, up 0.68 percent.
On sectoral performance, the industrial index posted the strongest gain, rising 1.51%, followed by the services industry, which advanced 1.30%, while the financial index also edged up 0.10%.
Of the 100 companies whose shares were traded, 40 recorded gains, while 33 declined, compared with their previous closing prices.
