Israeli Occupation Launches Arrest Campaign Targeting 16 Palestinians in West Bank

Occupied Jerusalem, April 15 (QNA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out an arrest campaign Wednesday, detaining 16 Palestinians from various areas across the West Bank after raiding and searching their homes.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the forces arrested 8 Palestinians from the town of Ya’bad, south of Jenin, and another 8 from the Nablus governorate.

The Israeli occupation forces also restricted the movement of Palestinians in the city of Qalqilya by setting up two military checkpoints at its eastern and southern entrances.

The Israeli occupation continues to expand its repressive and settlement practices across the occupied territories by carrying out raids and home invasions, arresting residents, and illegally legitimizing settlers to commit violations against Palestinians.

It also seizes residents’ property and land without justification, and supports settlement projects through the construction of outposts to advance its plans of taking over as much Palestinian land as possible and consolidating control over it, without any intervention to prevent these violations, which contravene international laws and conventions.
