Beirut, April 19 (QNA) – Specialized units of the Lebanese Army have embarked on dismantling five unexploded aerial bombs left over from the Israeli aggression in the Haret Hreik area of Beirut’s southern suburbs.

The units transported three of the bombs for further processing, while work is ongoing to safely remove the remaining two.

The Lebanese Army Command urged citizens to stay away from the affected areas and to report any suspicious objects to the nearest military center.

The Command had previously announced that specialized units had launched field operations to reopen roads damaged in southern Lebanon as a result of the Israeli aggression. It noted that work is ongoing to rehabilitate the Tyre–Tayr Falsay Bridge, in cooperation with the Litani River National Authority, as part of broader efforts to reconnect affected areas and facilitate the movement of citizens.

The Army Command continues its operations to reopen roads, remove obstacles, and carry out security measures, contributing to the protection of internal stability.

The Israeli entity had targeted several bridges and key infrastructure in southern Lebanon as part of a series of raids that affected multiple areas. (QNA)
