Khartoum, April 19, 2026 (SUNA) — Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting and upgrading health centers with the latest medical equipment to strengthen and advance the healthcare system and improve services for citizens. This came during his meeting with the Head of the Steering and Development Committee of Hillat-al-Sheikh Khojaly in Shambat, Mohamed Zaki, in the presence of Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim. Zaki stated that he briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing efforts, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, to establish a health center in the area, noting that the foundation stone will soon be laid by the Prime Minister. He added that the project has been a long-standing aspiration of the local community for over 35 years, expressing appreciation for the Prime Minister’s commitment to providing all necessary resources.BH/BH
