5.2-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes East Timor

Dili, April 20 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck on Monday East Timor, Southeast Asia.

The US Geological Survey stated that the earthquake occurred 122 km west of Maubara, at a depth of 183.1 km.

East Timor lies on the Pacific ‘Ring of Fire,’ where the meeting of tectonic plates causes significant seismic activity. (QNA)
