OMDURMAN, May 14, 2026 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Education and National Pedagogy concluded a workshop on adapting and developing teacher training packages for crisis and emergency settings in Omdurman on Thursday. The workshop, organized by the National Teacher Training Center in cooperation with UNESCO and the Global Partnership for Education, brought together 25 education experts from across Sudan. Center Director Dr. Amin Awad said the workshop focused on improving education quality during emergencies and training trainers on modern methods to address challenges caused by war, displacement, and migration. He said the workshop produced key recommendations, including standardizing and adopting an “Education in Emergencies” package to ensure continuity of education during crises.BH/BH
