Khartoum, May 22, 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met with the Head of the Integrity and Transparency Authority, Lieutenant General (Police) Abdeen Al-Tahir. In a press statement following the meeting in Khartoum on Friday, Al-Tahir said the talks focused on the need to complete the legal and financial requirements for the authority to begin its mission. He added that the meeting addressed key institutional requirements at this stage, including securing a headquarters, finalising the establishment process, and completing the authority’s membership, organisational structure, and staffing framework. Al-Tahir pledged to launch the authority’s operations and benefit from international experiences in this field, affirming that the rule of law will prevail in the country and that all forms of corruption will be uprooted.BH/BH
