Doha, May 22 (QNA) – Qatar men’s national handball team secured the silver medal in the 4th GCC Games Doha 2026 after defeating Saudi Arabia 32-24 in their final match on Friday.
Qatar finished second in the standings with six points, while Bahrain claimed the gold medal with eight points. Saudi Arabia took bronze with four points.
The match was played at the Duhail Sports Hall as the tournament concluded following 12 days of competition involving the six Gulf states.
The closing match was attended by several Gulf sports officials, including HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee Jassim Rashid Al Buenain, President of the Qatar Handball Association Ahmed Al Shaabi, and President of Qatar Athletics Federation Mohammed Al Fadala. (QNA)
