AC Milan Sack Coach Allegri

Rome, May 25 (QNA) – AC Milan announced on Monday that they had dismissed coach, Massimiliano Allegri, following a decline in the team’s results at the end of the season and its failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Milan finished the Serie A season in fifth place.

The club also announced the dismissal of several senior executives.

Allegri concluded his Serie A campaign with the team in a 2-1 home loss to Cagliari on Sunday, leaving Milan with just one win in its last four matches.

Allegri had returned to coach Milan this season for a second spell after previously leading the club from 2010 to 2014. The team had contended for the league title for much of the season before suffering a marked decline in form in recent weeks. (QNA)
