Khartoum, May 26, 2026 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said Eid Al-Adha comes this year as the capital, Khartoum, regains its vitality, while citizens continue to prove every day that they are stronger and braver than any conspiracy. In an address delivered Tuesday evening on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, TSC President Al-Burhan paid tribute to the resilient and steadfast Sudanese people who, he said, united to protect their homeland, holding firmly to national unity and dignity without retreat or weakness, and pledging loyalty to no one but Sudan. He added that the Sudanese people “deserve every effort from us to provide services, security, and basic needs.” TSC President Al-Burhan stressed that the continued support of the Sudanese people, and their standing and fighting alongside the national army, remain the safety valve for the country’s unity and stability, and the driving force behind efforts to cleanse all parts of Sudan from the “stain of rebellion.” He also accused the Dagalo family group of dominating segments of the Sudanese people, impoverishing and destroying them, and stripping them of security while replacing it with fear, panic, and poverty.BH/BH
