Doha, May 27 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received well-wishers offering Eid Al-Adha greetings at Lusail Palace on Wednesday morning following Eid prayers.
Among those received by His Highness were HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim. Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, undersecretaries of ministries, members of the Shura Council and groups of citizens also gathered to convey their congratulations on the occasion.
The reception was attended by HH Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
Eid Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) is the second major holiday in the Islamic calendar and is traditionally marked by prayers, family visits and official gatherings. (QNA)
