Sudan’s Ambassador to China Meets Deputy Head of CPC International Department

BEIJING, June 4, 2026 (SUNA) – Sudan’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Omar Issa Ahmed, met on Thursday with Jin Xin, Deputy Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the department’s headquarters in Beijing, as part of efforts aimed at strengthening and advancing the strategic relations between Sudan and China.  During the meeting, both sides affirmed the depth and strength of Sudanese-Chinese relations and the importance of continuing joint efforts. They reiterated the leaderships’ keenness in both countries to elevate bilateral ties to broader horizons that serve the mutual interests of the two friendly peoples. Ambassador Omar Issa Ahmed renewed Sudan’s full support for China on its core issues, foremost among them the One China principle, expressing Sudan’s appreciation for China’s supportive positions toward Sudan in various regional and international forums. He also reviewed the positive developments taking place in Sudan and the efforts being exerted to achieve security and stability, advance development, and restore state institutions to normal functioning, pointing to the government’s return to Khartoum and the continued return of citizens to their villages, towns and cities. The ambassador stressed Sudan’s keenness to strengthen partnership with China during the coming phase, particularly in the fields of investment and reconstruction, underscoring the importance of Chinese companies and institutions playing an active role in rebuilding what was destroyed by the war and benefiting from the successful experiences of cooperation between the two countries. For his part, Jin Xin reaffirmed China’s continued support for Sudan in times of ease and hardship, both bilaterally and in international forums, expressing his country’s appreciation for Sudan’s steadfast positions toward China. He also expressed China’s readiness to work with Sudan to implement the important understandings reached by the leaders of the two countries and to enhance cooperation across various sectors in a way that restores momentum to bilateral economic, trade, and development relations. The deputy head of CPC International Department further stressed China’s keenness to participate actively in Sudan’s reconstruction efforts and support its path toward peace, stability, and development. The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and a number of issues of mutual concern, affirming the importance of continued coordination and consultation in a manner that promotes stability and development and serves the interests of the two friendly countries. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their aspiration to continue strengthening and developing the Sudanese-Chinese strategic partnership in line with the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.BH/BH
