Sinja, June 9, 2026 (SUNA) — The Governor of Darfur Region, Minni Arko Minnawi, conducted a visit on Tuesday to Sennar State, where he held talks with the Wali of Sennar State, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayid, the state’s security committee, and members of the state government to review the overall situation. The Wali of Sennar State briefed the visiting Darfur Region Governor on the general security and service conditions across the state, noting that Sennar is currently witnessing a state of stability. The meeting also addressed the efforts of the state government in reconstruction, rehabilitation, and the resumption of essential public services, in addition to ongoing preparations for the launch of the upcoming agricultural season. For his part, the Governor of Darfur praised the efforts of the Sennar State government in strengthening stability, commending measures taken to secure the state and advance production and development activities.BH/BH
