Khartoum, 10-6-2026 (SUNA) – The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, chaired a meeting dedicated to discussing the repercussions of the Sudanese pound’s exchange rate against foreign currencies and its impact on the national economy. The meeting discussed a package of economic procedures and measures aimed at addressing current challenges in the currency market, ensuring the enhancement of economic stability in the country. The meeting issued a set of directives and decisions to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, and the Central Bank of Sudan, which as a whole aimed at regulating and stabilizing the exchange rate, supporting market stability, and improving the general performance of the national economy. It is noted that the meeting included the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Energy, the Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, the Director of the Sea Ports Corporation, and the Director of Economic Security.BH/BH
