The committee tasked with the “One Million Productive Housing Units” project held an expanded meeting on Sunday under the chairmanship of the Minister of Federal Governance and Urban Development, with the participation of the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, the Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, the Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, and the Secretary-General of the National Housing and Reconstruction Fund. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the mechanisms and implementation plans for the project, with participants conducting in-depth deliberations on housing needs and execution requirements. Emphasis was placed on taking into account the country’s economic, social, and environmental conditions when developing housing models and proposals, to ensure their suitability across different states. The discussions also included proposals for appropriate housing models aimed at achieving a balance between cost, quality, and sustainability, in a way that meets citizens’ needs. The meeting stressed the importance of continuing technical and specialized consultations among relevant ministries and institutions. It was decided to hold another meeting next Sunday, during which a detailed presentation will be submitted on the experiences of the National Housing and Reconstruction Fund, in order to benefit from its accumulated expertise and support the development of the project.BH/BH
