The Head of the Peace Commission, Professor Suleiman Mohamed Al-Debeilo, met at the Commission’s headquarters with a number of university professors and academics participating in a project to develop a long-term future vision for Sudan. The meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Amjad Farid Al-Tayib. The meeting discussed ongoing efforts to prepare a comprehensive strategic vision for Sudan extending over fifty years, based on scientific and methodological foundations, with the aim of contributing to the establishment of a stable and prosperous future for the country. The participants also reviewed several proposals and conceptual frameworks related to formulating a national vision that responds to the challenges of the current phase, and lays the groundwork for a national political process rooted in Sudan’s realities and enjoying broad public acceptance. The meeting emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and consultation with various national and academic expertise. It was agreed to hold further joint meetings in the coming period to complete the details of the vision and ensure its inclusiveness and coherence. The academic delegation included Professor Ali Abdullah, Professor Abdul Azim Al-Mahal, Dr. Malik Al-Mahdi, Dr. Osman Dafallah, and Dr. Mutawakil Saeed, representing the working group tasked with preparing the country’s future vision.BH/BH
